Special Services Teacher – 1.0 FTE – Shakopee High School Position Type: Special Education Location: Shakopee High School Date Posted: 5/28/2026 Responsibilities Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting and/or co‑taught classroom. Monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork. Communicate effectively with families and staff. Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans and direct the work of paraprofessionals. Provide instruction in the content area in accordance with each student's ability. Create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establish effective working relationships with students and parents, work collaboratively with other staff members. Qualifications Valid MN teaching licensure in special education, specifically EBD, SLD, ASD or ABS. NVCI (CPI) training preferred. Experience working with a variety of disabilities and the ability to deliver specialized instruction to meet individual student needs. Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction. Salary Salary ranges from $52,020 to $126,971 depending upon education level and experience.
