Work Environment

This position is located in an onsite rehabilitation facility in Chantilly, a vibrant community in Northern Virginia that offers a supportive environment for both patients and healthcare professionals. You will be collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, working directly with clients to assess their needs and tailor rehabilitation plans designed to restore function and promote wellness. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and alleviating pain.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to the care plan while providing appropriate direction and feedback.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the client's functional abilities, employing diagnostic tests for muscle, nerve, and joint functionalities.
• Assess the rehabilitation potential of clients within their home environments and provide recommendations to enhance their independence.
• Administer prescribed therapeutic exercises and functional activities, providing instruction and motivation to clients for effective engagement.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, such as manual therapy, traction, and modalities involving physical agents.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending adjustments to the supervising physician as necessary.
• Contribute to the development and regular updates of client care plans, recording observations and changes in clients' conditions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulations.
• Engage with the interdisciplinary team during case conferences, collaborating on client treatment plans and outcomes.
• Instruct clients and their families on the use and care of therapeutic devices and their overall rehabilitation program.
• Ensure compliance with documentation and administrative tasks, submitting reports on time as per company policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus on a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, and post-injury rehabilitation. Your expertise will not only facilitate recovery but also empower clients to achieve their personal health goals and promote long-term physical well-being. A strong emphasis is placed on individualized care that considers the unique needs and circumstances of each client and their families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Doctorate Degree (DPT) preferred.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in physical therapy, ideally within an acute care or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and governing agency regulations applicable to physical therapy.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other digital tools relevant to patient care.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a rehabilitation facility or home healthcare setting is preferred. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
