Junior Motion Picture Business Affairs Counsel

WME Group seeks a talented and highly motivated junior lawyer to join its business and legal affairs team, primarily supporting WME's Motion Picture, Talent, and WME Independent Film Departments. Responsibilities Reviewing, redlining, and negotiating contracts under tight deadlines, including endorsement, appearance, license and other image-rights and personal-services agreements Implementing and refining systems for information and document-management Fostering positive long-term relationships with the company’s clients and customers Manage and update our database of precedent used for various agreements Manage the grids, checklists and forms used by the business affairs group Support the Motion Picture Business Affairs team by handing special projects and requests when assigned. Qualifications JD from an ABA-accredited law school Admitted to CA Bar (or another state bar permissible under CA in-house counsel rules) 1-3+ year(s) of transactional legal/business affairs experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to interact with a range of personalities and styles in a fast-paced environment Outstanding drafting, analytical, and organizational skills A curious mind, a strong work ethic, and a creative but practical approach to problem-solving Knowledge of motion picture and talent preferred, but not required Required to work in-office Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Hiring Rate Minimum:

• 75,000 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable state/local minimum salary thresholds) Hiring Rate Maximum:
