About the role

Anchor Fabrication, LLC is hiring a Sheet Metal Laser Machine Operator for our La Vergne, Tennessee facility. This is a 2nd shift position (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm) focused on producing quality parts through precise laser cutting operations.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines to meet specifications and quality targets.
• Read and interpret blueprints; perform first- and last-piece inspections to verify conformance.
• Troubleshoot and correct minor equipment issues; escalate major issues to Maintenance.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
• Support production needs, which may include overtime or assignment to a different shift based on company needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Laser operation experience preferred; prior work in metal fabrication is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and general math.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Work environment

Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.
