Clinic Customer Service Representative Location: Far Rockaway, NY Job Type: Full-Time Department: Front Office / Patient Services Reports To: Office Manager or Clinic Administrator Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Clinic Customer Service Representative to join our healthcare team in Far Rockaway, NY. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and scheduling process. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical office. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Register new patients and update existing patient demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Assist patients with completing required forms and documentation. Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and appointment reminders. Communicate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff. Resolve patient concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Perform general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, faxing, and data entry. Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of one year of customer service or medical office experience preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical scheduling systems is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Knowledge of medical insurance verification and patient registration processes is preferred. Skills and Competencies Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
