About the Role
Our firm is seeking a Health Services Specialist II on behalf of our client, a leading health plan headquartered in Minnesota. This organization provides health insurance and coordinated care services to members throughout the region. In this role, you'll support the Care Coordination team through accurate, timely administrative and data entry work that directly impacts members' access to programs and services. Job Description
The Health Services Specialist II supports Care Coordinators by managing administrative tasks, data entry, and internal communications that help ensure members are properly enrolled and eligible for available programs. This is a detail-oriented role suited for someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and enjoys supporting a larger care team behind the scenes.
Key responsibilities include:

• Completing administrative tasks on behalf of Care Coordinators, including entering assessments into the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) — the state system used to determine a member's eligibility for programs
• Entering and processing authorizations
• Adding staff location and assignment details in MnCHOICES for new enrollments
• Moving contacts with group number changes for the same product within Guiding Care
• Managing member mail
• Submitting activities in Guiding Care to the assigned Specialist for each Care Coordinator team

Hours: 8 hours per day, with flexibility around core business hours of 9:00 AM–3:00 PM CST
Work Arrangement: This position is approved for hub or remote work. Candidates must reside in one of the following approved states: AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OK, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI.
Remote Work Requirements:

• Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free work environment
• Camera on for all meetings and trainings
• Internet speed test results required with candidate submittal (screenshot attached alongside resume)
  • Upload speed: minimum 5+ Mbps
  • Download speed: minimum 25+ Mbps
  • Ping: under 100ms

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of related work experience
• Proficiency completing administrative tasks
• Experience with data and information entry, particularly related to authorizations
• Strong communication skills, including experience liaising with internal care coordination contacts
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, particularly with internal stakeholders in a care coordination setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a health care organization or health plan setting
• Familiarity with medical terminology
