About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as the chief fiscal officer and direct major financial functions. The CFO will be responsible for capital improvement financial planning, annual budget development, investment management, and various other financial and administrative areas. This senior leadership role requires a collaborative and proven leader with a track record in fiscal management, strategic financial planning, and policy formation. The CFO will work closely with the President and the Executive Cabinet to further the institution's educational and service missions and will be involved in long-range financial projections, cost-benefit analysis, and grant development. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a master's degree in business or a related field, with a minimum of ten years' experience in leading financial and administrative functions, preferably in a higher education environment. The role demands a leader with extensive knowledge of financial and business practices, information technologies, and a data-driven approach to decision-making. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, have excellent supervisory and management skills, and be adept at creating a culture of excellence and accountability. Experience in contract and insurance coverage reviews is also required. The CFO will be expected to maintain compliance with relevant laws and policies and to work with the Board of Trustees on fiscal planning and management.
