Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer repairs and maintains a wide range of building systems and production equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components. This role ensures that all shop equipment such as power shears, power press brakes, CNC punch presses, laser cutters, forming machines, and electric welders operate safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications. The Maintenance Engineer also documents all maintenance activities performed on buildings and machinery to support reliability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain building systems, including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
• Repair and maintain shop equipment such as power shears, power press brakes, CNC punch presses, laser cutters, forming machines, and electric welders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all assigned machines and building systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
• Inspect equipment regularly to detect potential problems and address them before they lead to downtime.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance performed on each building system and machine, including repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance.
• Follow established maintenance procedures and safety practices while working on equipment and building systems.
• Collaborate with production and other teams to minimize equipment downtime and support continuous operations.
• Use appropriate tools, test equipment, and documentation to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while working within a clean and organized manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician or maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with pneumatic systems and components.
• Ability to work effectively in a clean, organized, and team-oriented shop environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn different areas of the operation and expand technical skills.

This is a Permanent position based out of PLYMOUTH, MN.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
