Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will assist with transaction processing, reconciliations, invoices, financial records, and administrative accounting tasks while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recording and processing daily financial transactions.
• Enter invoices, expenses, payments, and other accounting information into financial systems.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with invoice verification, payment processing, and account updates.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records.
• Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Maintain organized accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, and account summaries.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounting information when required.
• Support audits by gathering and organizing financial documentation.
• Ensure accounting records are maintained according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling financial and sensitive information.
• Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, finance, or a similar role.
• Basic understanding of financial transactions, invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Experience using spreadsheets and accounting or financial management systems.
• Strong computer and digital skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Ability to handle repetitive and detail-oriented tasks while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and follow established accounting procedures.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable setup for remote work.
