At Flagler Technologies, Pre-Sales Engineers are trusted technical advisors and architects who shape strategy, influence outcomes, and own solutions end-to-end. We’re expanding our engineering team and looking for high-caliber PreSales Engineers who have a track record of Enterprise IT sales, technical depth, and customer trust. Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership & Customer Advisory:
- Experienced technical advisor to large enterprise customers across infrastructure, cloud, and data platforms.
- Lead deep technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments, business drivers, risk tolerance, and growth plans.
- Translate customer challenges into scalable, secure, and supportable architectures.
- Solution Architecture & Design:
- Own solution design from concept through close
- Design solutions spanning data center, hybrid cloud, networking, security, backup/DR, and enterprise platforms.
- Evaluate tradeoffs across cost, performance, resilience, and operational complexity
- Sales Partnership:
- Work with sales counterparts to drive technical strategy and influence deal outcomes
- Ability to challenge status-quo, when better solutions/architectures exist
- Help elevate technical conversations from product features to business outcomes
- Proof of Concept & Technical Validation :
- Architect and execute Proofs of Concept that validate real customer workloads.
- Ensure technical wins translate cleanly into production-ready designs.
- Engineering Culture & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal engineering, services, and leadership teams to ensure seamless handoffs and successful implementations.
- Share knowledge, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to raising the technical bar across the organization.
- What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting within an IT VAR, OEM, integrator, or enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge across:
- Data center infrastructure (compute, storage, virtualization)
- Networking and security
- Cloud and hybrid architectures
- Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Ability to explain complex technical designs in a clear and business-relevant way
- Real-world experience/Vendor certifications (Nutanix, Dell, Cisco, cloud platforms, etc.) are a plus
