Job Details:

• Shift: 12H Days
• Total Weekly Hours: 36
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Trauma Level: Level 4
• Facility Specific Job Notes:

- At least 2+ years of Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) experience required - Must have at least 1+ year of travel experience - Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications required - Experience as a preceptor and/or charge preferred but not required; willingness to help precept eventually is required - Must be able to handle patients from ESI level 1-5 - Must be able to care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients - Must be able to triage and assess patients quickly - Must be able to perform clinical skills including PIV, NG/OG tubes, foleys, splinting, wound care; US guided IV available - Must know how to assist with art line, central line, and chest tube placement - Must be willing to answer call lights, transport patients, and float to task in other departments if not needed in the ED - Required skills include triage, PIV, port access/deaccess, foley placement, NG/OG placement, wound care, splint/OCL application - Preferred skill: US guided IV - ER RNs must be able to complete EMTALA paperwork per hospital policies and regulatory guidelines - ED RNs on night shift may need to mix some medication drips with a vial to bag adapter
