This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel Program.Be the Chief Engineer for the Mission Defense IPT, reporting to the Sentinel Program Chief Engineer.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: ​Ensure the certifiability of the Sentinel Weapon System for Surety and CyberManage the technical development and direction for all aspects of engineering on a program including design, development, implementation, testing, and delivery of product to a customerCollect and provide required data for Northrop Grumman program reporting (e.g., IPRS) of engineering performanceServe as engineering team liaison for communications to/from Program Management, Manufacturing, Operations, customers, and other functional organizationsOversee technical content for system design reviews (e.g., System Requirements Review (SRR), System Functional Review (SFR), System Design Review (SDR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), System Verification Review (SVR), and Test Readiness Review (TRR)) including entrance and exit criteriaEnsure integration of the overall technical plan within the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)Ensure overall technical quality and performance for all engineering content for the programEnsure the program adheres to sound engineering processes in development, production, test, and sustainment in accordance with company policies, processes, and quality standardsDrive process development, continuous improvement, and affordability initiatives within their associated programsCollaborate and arbitrate if required with all Product Team Leads to resolve engineering conflictsSupport the program manager in risk and opportunity management by identifying and owning risks associated with system performanceBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 12 years of experience with Master's degree, 10 years of experience with PhD Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needsMinimum of 5 years of experience formally leading engineering teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goalPreferred Qualifications:Active DoD TS/SCI clearanceCurrent CISSP or equivalent/greater certificationExperience in weapon system certificationICBM or complex aerospace systems experienceModel-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experienceDesign Engineering/Computer-aided Design (CAD) experience and engineering releases utilizing Product Lifecycle Management toolsPrior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads and USAF leadership personnelExperience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account managerDemonstrated effectiveness in achieving results through managing people and understanding and management of internal processes and customer/supplier relationshipsStrong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing prioritiesExperience in working closely with customers to ensure delivery of systems that meet warfighter needsAbility to collaborate when dealing with groups from diverse organizations and backgroundsDemonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situationsStrong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations in a timely and efficient mannerPosition BenefitsAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:  Medical, Dental & Vision coverage  401k  Educational Assistance  Life Insurance  Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions   Paid Time Off   Health & Wellness Resources   Employee Discounts  This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.#SentinelsystemsPrimary Level Salary Range: $166,500.00 - $249,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
