Director, Strategic Planning

Job TitleThis position provides leadership for the clinical strategic planning functions at UT Health San Antonio.ResponsibilitiesThe Director partners with executive and clinical leadership to develop and execute clinical enterprise growth strategies. This role leads clinical service line planning, develops clinical growth plans, supports planning for clinical volume growth, and assesses site-of-care strategies across hospital outpatient department (HOPD) and freestanding settings. The Director oversees the alignment of strategic data with strategic initiatives, business planning, and pro forma development for key clinical strategic initiatives.QualificationsStrong business acumen, including business plan development, and ability to assess financials and data. Deep knowledge of healthcare market dynamics and trends. Expertise in clinical service line planning, growth strategy development, and volume forecasting methodologies. Knowledge of site-of-care economics and regulatory and reimbursement considerations for HOPD and freestanding facilities. Advanced data analysis skills, including market share, demand forecasting, and competitive intelligence. Strong executive-level communication, presentation, and collaboration skills. Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior leaders across the institution. Ability to manage multiple complex projects and develop complex plans.Required SkillsExperience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in strategic planning, business development, or healthcare finance is required. Experience in an academic medical center or health system strongly preferred. Prior experience leading teams or projects and presenting to executive leadership preferred.
