Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative position will assist the Contracts Manager and Customer Service Lead with general customer service responsibilities including, but not limited to order log maintenance, sales order creation, customer updates and tracking.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Represent SPP in a positive and professional manner.
• Work well with all departments and outside contacts to satisfy customers and achieve company goals.
• Assist the CSL with TACO & help manage this account with the assistance of multiple departmental heads as part of your primary duties.
• Keep customers apprised of their project status via phone, extranet, or email.
• Assist the CSL with the SPP Order Log.
• Assist CSL with job folder creation and uploading of all relevant documentation to Open KM at time of order receipt.
• Send end of day emails to accounts with tracking details and links to critical documents.
• Assist CSL and CM with parts order creation in SAP.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with customers and all SPP team members.

Qualifications

• College Degree (bachelor’s or better) is preferred but not required.
• 2 or more years of relevant experience and customer service experience.
• Experience in SAP is preferred.
• Proven track record of working within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented.
• Strong organizational skills and problem solving skills with particular attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other department employees and customer representatives.  
• Problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays and/or unexpected events.
• Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• SPP Pumps will provide formal training in pumping systems and completion of SPP University.
