Industrial Engineer - Quality Systems Development

About the Role Our client is looking for a meticulous Industrial Engineer to join their team in Welkom , focusing on the development and implementation of robust quality systems. This role is essential for maintaining and elevating the high standards of our products and processes. You will be responsible for designing quality control protocols, analyzing defect data, and driving initiatives to reduce non-conformities. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to operational integrity and customer satisfaction within the Free State province, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards. Analyze product and process non-conformance data to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing protocols for production processes. Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to ensure compliance and effectiveness. Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to integrate quality considerations into new product development and process changes. Train production and quality personnel on quality standards, procedures, and the effective use of quality tools. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Quality Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Solid understanding of quality management principles, such as ISO 9001, and statistical quality control techniques. Proficiency in using quality tools like FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, and 8D problem-solving methodologies. Experience with data analysis and reporting for quality metrics.
