About We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for assisting with loading & unloading freight, product assembly, delivery, special orders, propane fills, and property maintenance. General Summary The Receiving Associate is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow, tracking, and accuracy of all inventories in and out of the receiving department and customer pick-up area. This includes any and all deliveries and all related processes and paperwork. This position is physically demanding and working in outdoor elements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Work in outside weather conditions year round Unload incoming trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Load and unload customer deliveries in a safe and efficient manner with a working knowledge of all equipment. Assist customers with large or heavy items Assist customers in the customer pick-up area with bag products, special orders, etc. Using a radio/headset to effectively communicate with other associates or management Maintain organizational standards in the receiving departments & warehouses. Lifting at least 10 lbs. on a routine basis; lifting may exceed 80+ lbs. in certain instances Store Operations Welcome and identify customer needs Explain products and services to customers Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock Enter and process customer orders Investigate and resolve customer complaints Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up. Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to General Manager. Participate in store meetings. Be professional in appearance and actions. Perform all other duties as assigned. Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with occasional lifting of up to 80 lbs. Stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch on concrete or asphalt for long periods of time.
