Office Administrator & Shipping CoordinatorSmartdept. is searching for an Office Administrator & Shipping Coordinator for a creative agency client located in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity (Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm).This is a versatile role supporting a busy, fast-paced creative office. You'll handle a little bit of everything office related, with a big focus on shipping, receiving, and inventory. The ideal person is high energy, sharp, and quick thinking, and doesn't get rattled by lots of activity. Think theatrical stage manager: organized, calm under pressure, and always a step ahead.What You'll Do:Support day-to-day office operations and pitch in on anything office relatedLearn and manage FedEx and UPS shipping softwareProduce shipping labels and track outgoing shipmentsLog and relay tracking numbers in Google SheetsAnswer the door and receive deliveriesManage inventory and keep the office and supplies organizedAssist with kit fulfillment as needed, including packing items into boxesWhat You'll Need:Fast learner and self-starter who can juggle multiple tasks at onceHighly organized with strong attention to detailNatural problem solver with a high energy, positive attitudeComfortable working in a busy, sometimes chaotic environmentComfortable with Google SheetsAbility to lift up to 35 lbsAvailable to work onsite full time, 9am to 5pmNice-to-Have Skills:Experience with FedEx Ship Manager and/or UPS WorldShip or similar shipping platformsBackground in stage management, event production, or other fast-paced coordination rolesPrior office administration, receiving, or fulfillment experienceExperience supporting a creative agency or studio environment
