Quality Manager

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Manager for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX . This role requires deep hands‑on experience in automation tools and BDD/TDD practices, focusing on building robust test frameworks and ensuring high‑quality delivery across web and API platforms. Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Quality Manager Job Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks for web, API, and microservices testing. Lead test execution using Selenium, Cucumber, Java, Postman, Rest Assured, and apply BDD/TDD methodologies. Collaborate and coordinate with Product, Tech, UAT, and Production Support teams to ensure smooth testing and delivery. Prepare detailed test reports, analyze defects, and support debugging through monitoring application logs. Utilize version control (Bitbucket/Git) and SQL querying to support test validation and automation workflows. Perform performance testing using tools like JMeter and contribute to Agile ceremonies and testing practices. Required Qualifications Formal training or certification in Software Engineering or a related technical discipline. 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in test automation and quality engineering. Proven expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, Java, BDD/TDD, and automation framework development for web, API, and microservices. Strong ability to collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and demonstrate proficiency in performance testing, debugging, and Agile testing practices.
