Staff Accountant

Windwave is seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and project‑based accounting activities within a growing construction and telecommunications company. This role works closely with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate financial records, support month‑end close processes, and maintain strong job costing and reporting practices. What You’ll Do Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy. Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and supporting schedules. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll‑related processes as needed. Assist with job costing and project‑related financial tracking. Maintain organized accounting documentation and records. Support audit preparation and financial reporting activities. Assist with process improvements and financial accuracy initiatives. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 1–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Preferred Construction, telecommunications, or project‑based accounting experience. Exposure to job costing or WIP reporting. Work Environment Professional, structured environment with direct exposure to operations, job costing, and project‑based accounting.
