The Houston office is expanding, and this role is a critical hire to support that growth, enhance operational efficiency, and provide long-term continuity for the team. The Opportunity This is a high-impact, hybrid role combining accounts payable oversight with office management and operational support. You’ll act as a key connector across the business—supporting leadership, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and overseeing financial processes performed by an international accounting team. This Is An Ideal Role For Someone Who Understands accounting beyond just processing invoices Enjoys being the “go-to” person in an office Thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving, and service-oriented environment Service‑oriented mindset; approachable and helpful Adaptable and flexible in a fast‑paced environment Strong interpersonal skills across all levels (staff to leadership) Proactive communicator; follows up and takes initiative Strong judgment and ability to prioritize effectively Ownership mentality; takes responsibility and acts independently Highly organized with strong attention to detail Reliable with consistent follow-through Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously Positive, team-oriented presence (“go-to” person in the office) What You’ll Do Accounts Payable & Accounting Oversight (Primary Focus) Review and validate accounts payable work completed by the offshore accounting team Ensure accuracy of invoice processing, coding, and financial entries Understand and monitor accounting workflows, controls, and reconciliations Identify discrepancies and work cross‑functionally to resolve issues Support financial operations with a strong understanding of end‑to‑end AP processes Office Management & Operations Serve as the on‑site point of contact for office operations Manage incoming mail, deliveries, and office communications Coordinate vendors (supplies, shredding, water service, facilities, etc.) Maintain office organization, inventory, and general upkeep Support internal team needs and ensure a smooth, professional office environment Administrative & Team Support Act as a highly visible, approachable presence in the office Assist leadership and owners with ad hoc requests and priorities Help coordinate internal processes and ensure follow‑through Support a collaborative, service‑first culture across the team What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in: Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance operations OR a hybrid accounting + office management role Strong understanding of accounting processes (not just transactional AP) Experience reviewing or validating financial work is highly preferred Experience working in a professional office environment required Technical Skills Familiarity with accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) Strong understanding of: Invoice processing General accounting workflows Financial controls and checks/balances What Sets You Apart Service‑oriented mindset—you enjoy helping others succeed Highly organized and detail‑oriented Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and shifting demands Strong interpersonal skills—you can work across all levels, including leadership Proactive, dependable, and adaptable Someone who naturally becomes the “heartbeat” of the office Why This Role High visibility and impact within a growing organization Opportunity to shape and support office operations Blend of accounting + people‑facing responsibilities Long‑term stability with succession planning built in Ideal Candidate Profile You’re Someone Who Understands accounting—not just processing, but why things work Likes being in the center of an office environment Can pivot quickly when priorities shift Is trusted, reliable, and easy to work with Brings both competence and warmth to a team #J-18808-Ljbffr Skill
