Accounts Payable Specialist

Harper Brothers Construction is a full‑service civil construction company specializing in large site infrastructure, underground, and road work. We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. Accounts Payable Specialist This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties in the accounts payable department including processing payments, paying invoices, and resolving payment issues with vendors. Accountabilities Process invoices using various methods including excel uploads, scanning and purchase order matching, and manual keying Robust understanding of job cost accounting and finance operations Handle Accounts Payable functions for different entities by processing and matching invoices with purchase orders via three‑way match Process weekly payments including checks, ACH, and wires Communicate with internal and external customers concerning past due invoices and resolve issues in a timely manner with excellent customer service Work with vendors to research and resolve issues ensuring a high level of customer service Review and reconcile key vendor statements weekly, resolving any discrepancies Other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or GED, required Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field, preferred 2+ years of experience in accounts payable Experience with Viewpoint preferred Detail oriented and team player Strong time management and organizational skills Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to provide quality service Mandatory overtime during month‑end close and special projects, required Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to communicate issues to all levels of management #J-18808-Ljbffr Harper Brothers Construction LLC
