Technical Sales Engineer

Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing all sales activities in assigned territory, promoting Industrial Filtration Products. Prepare budgets, forecast sales, track opportunities in CRM, and explore new markets for growth opportunities. Oversee all activities relating to the sales of Alkegen Industrial Filtration products. Develop Key Account Plans with major customers. Develop and maintain pricing strategies and product price lists in accordance with Corporate Pricing Policy. Provide technical support to customers, understanding their requirements and recommending appropriate products. Ensure regular customer visits, track face‑to‑face meetings, and prepare call reports. Target 40–50% travel. Create detailed bid proposals and formal quotations. Maintain a keen understanding of the business and competitive environment. Maintain effective communication to build relationships with customers. Provide product samples as needed. Develop presentation materials to educate customers on materials and product use. Represent Alkegen’s market image at trade shows, conferences, panel discussions, etc. Assist in developing product information and application case studies for marketing and sales teams. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Marketing, Inside Sales, New Product Development, and R&D. Assist in preparing the annual sales budget and providing monthly forecasts. Track sales progress versus the annual sales business plan and track open opportunities using CRM (MS Dynamics). Qualifications 4‑year B.S. degree or greater from an accredited college or university. 5+ years of direct sales experience in industrial filtration or technical textiles. Self‑motivated with strong project‑management skills and competence in personal time management. Proven teamwork and leadership skills. Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or MS Dynamics). Proven technical and critical‑thinking abilities. Highly organized and detail‑oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to relate technical information to non‑technical customers. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer‑service, and sales skills. Willingness and ability to travel to meet customers as required.
