Overview

This full-time Nurse Manager role offers a leadership opportunity overseeing Surgery, Labor & Delivery, and Outpatient Services within a regional healthcare facility in the Pacific Northwest. The position involves managing daily operations, supervising nursing and support staff, and ensuring continuous, high-quality patient care across multiple specialized departments including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Colonoscopy, and Podiatry.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of Surgery, Labor & Delivery, and Outpatient Services.
• Maintain open communication with senior nursing leadership to align departmental goals with organizational plans.
• Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and foster effective teamwork among clinical and support personnel.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts.
• Assist in budget development and monitor departmental expenditures to optimize resource use.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and maintain evidence-based policies and procedures.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and support staff development to promote a culture of accountability and excellence.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse licensure accepted multi-state or Washington State.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP required; AORN, CAPA, or CPAN certifications preferred.
• Minimum five years of Nurse Manager experience, preferably in a hospital setting with leadership responsibilities.
