Work Environment

This position is based in a state-of-the-art hospital setting where you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team that includes physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare providers. The work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while engaging actively in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations by obtaining detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and utilizing diagnostic tests to establish precise diagnoses and formulate treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage a diverse array of medical conditions, which encompass acute and chronic illnesses as well as mental health challenges. This includes developing personalized treatment plans grounded in current clinical practices.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, ensuring patients are well-informed about their treatment options, potential side effects, and expected recovery outcomes.
• Deliver patient education through counseling, empowering individuals with knowledge about their health conditions and preventive measures to improve and maintain their wellbeing.
• Collaborate effectively with members of the healthcare team, serving as a liaison to enhance communication and ensure seamless patient care continuity.
• Encourage preventive health measures by conducting screenings, immunizations, and education initiatives focusing on advising patients on how to minimize the risk of preventable diseases.
• Maintain meticulous records by documenting all patient interactions in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA) and internal policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient base encompassing all ages and backgrounds, including families, individuals with chronic illnesses, and those requiring mental health support. Your role will directly enhance the quality of life for these patients by providing compassionate, personalized nursing care tailored to their unique healthcare needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from a recognized and accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• Valid certification in a Nurse Practitioner specialty area, such as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP).
• Proficiency in understanding Electronic Health Record systems, supporting the efficient management of patient information and care processes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred, although new graduates with robust clinical training will also be considered.
• Demonstrated ability in clinical judgment and managing complex health conditions to enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 – $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
