Team Leader

Position Description The Team Leader manages expectations to consistently provide remarkable experiences for each guest, all day, every day. This position focuses on the daily operation of the restaurant through effective leadership/management of staff positioning, hospitality, and cleanliness. This position works closely with front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) Managers to ensure operational goals are met and that our team members are equipped and led to be successful. Responsibilities Lead your team Position team members correctly to execute restaurant goals Coach and encourage team members in order to foster growth Hold team members accountable for executing all LEAN systems (chicken entrees, prep, thawing, etc.) to protect quality and food safety Equip your team Create a high-energy atmosphere for our team, modeling a sense of urgency without making our guests feel rushed Lead by example, setting the standard for doing things the Chick-fil-A way Communicate any coaching needs to the Hospitality or Kitchen Director through proper communication channels Ensure financial performance Effectively manage productivity throughout each shift and send Team Members home early when necessary Monitor and reduce waste through proactive coaching and by setting the example Open or close the store (as scheduled) Communicate daily with fellow Team Leaders to convey any necessary information and ensure shift changes are executed seamlessly Maintain a clean, sanitary environment in FOH or BOH to set the standard of excellence, aid in minimizing food safety risks, and increase team morale Skills and Competencies Sets the standard for the Irondequoit Chick-fil-A Winning Habits : Team Oriented : treat everyone with honor, dignity, and respect Relentless Hustle : work hard with a fast pace and sense of urgency Responsibility & Accountability : desire to take on more and demonstrate ownership Growth Mindset : look for opportunities to grow daily Positive Attitude : in everything you do Constant Communication : be proactive Pursuit of Excellence : perform to your personal best Intentional Kindness : engage without expectation of reciprocation Takes full ownership and accountability of the specific area that they are leading and each Team Member within that area Communicates consistently with back of house or front of house in a positive tone to control the pace and flow of food and service Is confident and effective at walking into their area and moving positions when things are not working Is growth-minded and sets up shifts with a game plan to successfully break sales records Can see the bigger picture needs of the store – beyond the position they are working on and is always two steps ahead Has a game plan and is ready to handle any emergency situation Maintains a team that is focused on guests and the work of the restaurant Benefits Competitive Pay Access to Scholarships and Tuition Discounts Closed Sunday Free Meals and Discounts Rewards and Recognition Flexible Work Schedule Healthcare Training & Development Community Service & Team Member Events Leadership Development Safe and Welcoming Work Environment Work Directly with Owner/Operator Personalized Career Development Minimum Qualifications Minimum 16+ years old Previous customer service experience preferred Previous leadership experience an asset Hard-working Team-oriented Friendly Honest Great customer skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
