About the Role

We are seeking a Buyer to procure goods and services necessary to support business and program requirements. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining compliance with federal procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Solicitation

• Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to develop procurement strategies, determine requirements, and establish procurement timelines
\n
• Prepare and issue RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and other solicitations in compliance with applicable regulations and policies
\n
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, emerging technologies, and industry best practices
\n

Supplier Evaluation & Contract Negotiatio n

\n
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, qualifications, and past performance
\n
• Conduct supplier visits, negotiations, and cost and price analysis
\n
• Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers
\n
• Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and ethics guidelines
\n

Contract Administration & Supplier Management

\n
• Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and compliance with terms and conditions
\n
• Address contract issues and disputes during the contract period
\n
• Foster positive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and external partners
\n
• Drive effective communication and continuous improvement
\n

Compliance & Financial Analysis

\n
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and procurement policies
\n
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and files
\n
• Perform cost and price analysis to determine reasonableness and affordability of proposed prices
\n
• Monitor budget allocations and expenditures
\n
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and program management teams
\n
• Generate reports, presentations, and briefings regarding procurement status and findings
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
\n
• Knowledge of federal procurement regulations and policies, including FAR, DFARS, and DCMA guidelines
\n
• Experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within government or defense
\n
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
\n
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
\n
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
\n
• Proficiency with procurement and ERP software
\n
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)
\n
• Government or defense industry procurement experience
\n
• Experience with supplier evaluation, contract administration, and cost/price analysis
\n
