Staff Accountant

Ascend Talent Partners is conducting a search for a Staff Accountant to join a nationally recognized CPA firm with a strong reputation for technical excellence, professional development, and a people-first culture. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants to build a strong foundation in public accounting while gaining exposure to a variety of clients, industries, and engagements. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting services for multiple clients Prepare general ledger accounts, supporting schedules, financial statements, and management reports Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet accounts Support month-end and year-end close processes Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Assist clients with QuickBooks Online and Desktop Prepare sales tax filings and other compliance reports Process payroll and payroll tax filings, including Forms 941, W-2, and 1099 Work directly with clients to provide responsive, accurate accounting support WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred Public accounting experience is a plus Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple client deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills WHY CONSIDER IT?
