Air & Ocean Business Development Manager

Position: Business Development Manager – Air & Ocean Location: Seattle, Washington Compensation: Up to $120,000 base + commission + full benefits Company Overview Our client is an established global freight forwarder and logistics provider offering tailored Air, Ocean, and Domestic transportation solutions across international markets. The organization continues to expand its U.S. commercial presence and is seeking a high-performing sales professional to support growth across the Pacific Northwest market. Role Summary The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the Seattle and wider Pacific Northwest region, with a primary focus on international Air and Ocean freight services. This role requires a proactive hunter mentality, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to develop long-term customer partnerships across importers, exporters, and supply chain decision-makers. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to generate new business opportunities across Air, Ocean, and Domestic freight services throughout the Pacific Northwest Prospect, qualify, and close new customers with a focus on profitable long-term growth Collaborate closely with operations, pricing, and overseas offices to deliver competitive logistics solutions and RFQ responses Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations with key stakeholders and decision-makers Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and CRM management Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports aligned with company KPIs Maintain strong market awareness of competitor activity, trade lanes, and customer requirements Ensure customer agreements and commercial activities align with company procedures and industry regulations Qualifications & Skills Minimum 3–5 years of experience within international freight forwarding sales Proven success winning new business across Air and Ocean freight services Strong understanding of international logistics, supply chain solutions, and Incoterms Experience developing business within the Seattle/Pacific Northwest market preferred Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously Experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office systems Package Base salary up to $120,000 depending on experience Uncapped commission structure Full benefits package Strong operational support and international network Career progression opportunities within a growing organization #J-18808-Ljbffr
