Construction Staff Accountant

Build Group is seeking a Staff Accountant who knows construction accounting and is ready to own it. You'll be embedded in our accounting team handling the financial operations that keep our projects moving — AP/AR, lien releases, certified payroll, and job costing. If you've worked in construction finance, are sharp on the details, and want to grow with a fast-moving company, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Process and code vendor invoices accurately and on time Manage AP/AR and collect lien releases Track certified payroll and document compliance Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Uphold company policies and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the construction industry required Hands-on experience with Procore, Sage 300 CRE/Timberline, Textura, or similar construction accounting software Strong Excel skills and general computer proficiency Solid understanding of job costing and lien releases Effective communicator who can manage multiple priorities and deadlines Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment This position description is a summary and not a complete representation of the position; the essential functions of the position may change as duties are assigned.
