Job Title: Machine Helper / General Labor II Location: Hendersonville, NC Duration: 06 + Months ( Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension) Pay Range: $15/hr to $18/hr Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating schedule (12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Candidates must be willing to rotate between day and night shifts every two weeks. Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Machine Helper / General Labor II to support production operations in a light industrial manufacturing environment. This role assists machine operators with material handling, line support, and general production tasks in a mill setting. This is a physically active role requiring strong attention to safety, the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, and flexibility to support rotating shifts. Key Responsibilities: Assist machine operators with production line support and mill-wide reclaim activities Load and unload materials manually or using powered industrial equipment Move, lift, and position rolls and materials onto conveyors and production lines Support material handling activities, including trailer loading and unloading Operate forklift or tractor equipment (training required/provided if needed) Perform routine cleaning, housekeeping, and sanitation of work areas Assist with production line grade changes and occasional deep cleaning tasks Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment Required Qualifications: Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled industrial setting Experience with material handling and production support tasks Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed Forklift or powered industrial truck experience (or willingness to be trained) Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a machine helper, production worker, or manufacturing associate Forklift certification or prior forklift operation experience Experience in paper, packaging, converting, or similar manufacturing environments Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow production instructions Additional Information: This position requires strong reliability and attendance due to rotating shift structure Fast-paced production environment with physical demands Opportunity for long-term hire based on performance and business needs (LH-BL) Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $15 - $18 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
