Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician 2 to join the team. This role will be full-time rotating days/evening shift; will cover overnight shifts occasionally. Every other weekend | Sign-on Bonus eligible.

Pharmacy Technician 2 Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
• Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
• Restocks assigned areas, put away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures.
• Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors.
• Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses and floor stock.
• Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Work schedule: 8-hour shift (rotating days/evenings; every other weekend) 10-hr shift (overnight shift).
• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: One (1) year IV training/experience required.
• Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: One (1) year Pharmacy Technician hospital experience.
