Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation while working as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.96 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Prepare accurate incident, activity, and/or shift reports and communicate relevant updates with supervisors, client representatives, and/or emergency personnel as needed. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
