Consumer Finance Associate

Overview A law firm seeks a Consumer Finance Associate to join its Financial Regulatory practice in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience counseling financial institutions and technology providers on federal and state financial laws and regulations. Responsibilities Counsel banks, credit unions, and FinTechs on compliance with financial laws. Conduct financial regulatory and state licensing analyses. Draft and negotiate contracts and lending documents. Advise clients on federal and state commercial and consumer financial regulations. Assist with regulatory enforcement investigations and actions. Requirements 3-4 years of relevant experience in financial regulatory practice. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to client service and effective teamwork. Education: JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications: Active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice; timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located. Skills Experience with financial regulatory and state licensing analyses. Ability to draft and negotiate contracts and lending documents. Experience advising on compliance with financial regulations.
