Clin Service Representative II Job No: 540238 Work Type: Full Time Location: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL) Job Description The Student Health Care Center (SHCC) at the University of Florida seeks Clinical Service Representatives II to manage patient scheduling, check‑in/out, and administrative support while maintaining a friendly and efficient environment. Key Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments, tests, procedures, and minor surgeries via in‑person, telephone, and MyChart inquiries. Maintain patient account details, enter and verify insurance information, and manage the insurance verification process. Triage incoming calls, forward or direct medical inquiries to appropriate clinical staff. Greet patients and visitors, obtain health history, consent, ID and insurance documents during check‑in and check‑out. Verify student status and eligibility, select appropriate guarantor, and ensure that documents are scanned and organized in EPIC. Process incoming mail, coordinate office supplies, and support inventory management. Manage in‑basket pools, troubleshoot patient care issues, and liaise between students, clinical staff, and external departments. Provide coverage in other medical team areas as needed and assist with overall clinic functions. Typical Schedule Monday‑Friday 08:00 AM–05:00 PM (08:00 AM–04:30 PM during summer and break weeks); Sunday Clinic (Fall & Spring terms) 09:00 AM–01:00 PM; 40 hours per week; hours may vary. Two years of relevant office experience. College coursework or vocational/technical training equivalent to the required experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with word processing and various computer software applications. Experience with computer‑generated appointment systems and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Knowledge of word processing applications and EHR systems. Working knowledge of SHCC functions, policies, and confidentiality procedures. Ability to work independently, organize and maintain patient records, plan and coordinate work assignments, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, evaluate problems and implement solutions, compile and analyze data.
