ICU Registered Nurse

Job Description:

The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through advanced assessment, planning, and evaluation. RNs will manage acute conditions, administer medications, and operate life-support systems in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as needed.
• Provide care for trauma, cardiac, overdose, sepsis, and other critical patients.
• Interpret and document telemetry strips.
• Operate RT equipment from nasal cannula to ventilators.
• Float to PCU and MedSurg as required, maintaining unit ratios.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license with a distance greater than 50 miles from the facility.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• BSN required.
• Ability to pass a skill validation exam with a minimum score of 90%.
• Adherence to fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient care areas.
