Posting Details Position Title: Motorcycle Range Aide - PTT Department: Traffic Safety & Licensing Location: Lincoln Job Category: Support Staff Job Type: PT Posting Number: 01316 Position Summary Motorcycle Range Aide works with the Director of Traffic Safety & Licensing, and the Motorcycle Rider Coaches to ensure the motorcycles are mechanically safe and ready for the Motorcycle Safety Beginner Riders Class. This class has a strong emphasis on rider safety and risk management. This is a part‑time temporary position. Essential Functions Ensure supplies are available to students and instructors, including motorcycles, helmets, fire extinguishers, first aid kit, etc. Bring the ice water to the range. Assist instructors as needed, moving cones, etc. Keep all of the bikes clean & in good working order. Bikes need to be returned to storage at the end of the day. Sunday: clean up the range, move barrels to the front of the Physical Plant building, and remove trash. Fuel the motorcycles and put them in storage. Every class, each bike is to be inspected using T‑CLOC. Emergency or scheduled special activities may require hours outside of the regular workweek. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong emphasis on rider safety and risk management. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and on the phone. Ability to use basic computer skills. Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds for short distances and move tables, chairs, and media equipment when necessary. The individual must possess the above skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Minimum Qualifications High School Education or GED. Mechanical aptitude. Desired Qualifications Experience with Motorcycles. Current valid motorcycle license. Salary & Benefits Salary TBD.
