Work Environment

This position primarily involves home care, meaning you will often travel to various patient locations throughout Riverview. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments for patients suffering from orthopedic conditions and injuries to establish effective treatment strategies.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient education.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on assessment outcomes to ensure optimal recovery pathways.
• Educating patients and their families about appropriate home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications to support their rehabilitation.
• Collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with adults and older adults who have a variety of orthopedic conditions including post-operative recovery, fractures, chronic pain, and arthritis. Your compassionate approach will help patients navigate their rehabilitation journeys and encourage them to achieve their fullest potential.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in orthopedic settings, providing direct patient care.
• Proficient understanding of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in various therapeutic settings, including geriatrics and outpatient scenarios.
• Familiarity with trigger point therapy and its applications in rehabilitation is a positive addition to your application.

Compensation and Benefits
