Work Environment

This position is based primarily in home care settings, allowing our Physical Therapists to work closely with clients in comfortable, familiar environments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of clients to assess their physical capabilities and specialized treatment needs. These assessments will form the foundation for developing individualized therapy plans.
• Continuously monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to changing needs.
• Work in tandem with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive and holistic care.
• Instruct clients and their families on effective home exercise programs and wellness strategies that contribute to ongoing physical health.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at improving strength, mobility, and functional independence for each client.
• Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various modalities to address specific physical impairments and enhance recovery.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations and ensure compliance with the highest professional standards in practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with the geriatric population, which often presents unique challenges related to orthopedic concerns. We focus on facilitating recovery from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, and enhancing mobility and quality of life for older adults. The personalized attention and care plans provided help our clients regain independence and confidence in their physical abilities.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Excellent organizational skills, with an emphasis on thorough documentation and compliance.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, especially in skilled nursing facilities or directly working with the geriatric population.

• Proficiency in technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems; familiarity with therapy management software is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
