Candy Lead Clerk

Our sweetest department at our store is currently seeking a Candy Lead to guide and inspire our Candy team. This full-time role is ideal for an enthusiastic, customer-focused leader who enjoys creating memorable experiences in a fun, inviting environment. The Candy Lead will play a key role in enhancing the overall customer experience by delivering exceptional service, supporting team members, and maintaining an appealing and well-organized department.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to all Candy Store customers
• Lead, interview, hire, train, and develop team members within the Candy Department
• Operate registers, stock merchandise, and prepare customer pickup orders
• Oversee candy decorating and visual presentation to ensure an attractive shopping experience
• Manage ordering, inventory control, equipment cleanliness, department sanitation, and overall appearance
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience in the food industry; Candy Store experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
• Ability to listen attentively and communicate in a professional, friendly manner
• Commitment to food safety, equipment safety, and maintaining a clean work environment
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English
• Capable of keeping supplies replenished to minimize downtime
• Proven ability to build rapport with team members and lead by example

Working Conditions

• Continuous movement on hard surfaces; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and handling merchandise
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance
• Indoor work environment with moving machinery and occasional loud equipment
• Possible exposure to temperature variations from freezers, ovens, and coolers
• Occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects, and industrial equipment
