Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patient histories and create appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Develop and execute personalized treatment strategies focused on trauma recovery, including therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Engage collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, actively sharing insights and recommendations.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, helping ensure patient safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, treatment progress, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, ensuring clear tracking of patient progress.

• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on serving a diverse patient population significantly impacted by trauma, including individuals with complex trauma histories and varying levels of functionality. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding these individuals through the process of rebuilding their lives, offering tailored support that acknowledges their unique experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
