Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral conditions, ensuring detailed documentation from the initial consultation through the end of treatment.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based methodologies tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups seeking assistance.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment conducive to personal growth and healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor and evaluate clients' progress against treatment objectives, making necessary adjustments to the intervention plans to enhance outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to provide holistic care for clients, especially those undergoing hospital admissions.

• Proactively identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate their impact, ensuring continuity of care throughout the therapeutic process.

• Provide support and education to family members and primary caregivers to equip them with the tools necessary for managing mental and behavioral challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, who may be facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. You will leverage your expertise in understanding unique cultural and personal backgrounds to foster therapeutic relationships that promote healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• Successful completion of relevant examinations (NCE and/or NCMHCE), demonstrating proficiency in mental health counseling practices.
\n
• Strong foundation in the principles of psychotherapy and mental health, with a commitment to staying updated on current best practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a thorough understanding of assessment, treatment planning, and intervention techniques.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to maintain accurate patient documentation and streamline administrative processes.
\n
• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders, to provide comprehensive care.

• Familiarity with established best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their effects on mental health, ensuring an integrated approach to client care.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically to clients.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a natural inclination towards empathy and support in high-stress situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
