Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, analyzing behavioral issues, emotional states, and family dynamics to develop personalized treatment strategies.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated care approach, ensuring all aspects of a patient’s health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to young patients during emergency situations, ensuring immediate assistance and appropriate follow-up care.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to enhance understanding and involvement in the care process.

• Regularly maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems effectively.

• Engage in active team participation through case consultations and professional development activities that promote continuous learning and improvement.

• Stay updated on current research, emerging best practices, and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to inform and enrich therapeutic approaches.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs, utilizing methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, family therapy, and play therapy.

• Run family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with the tools and strategies to foster supportive environments for their children.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers on treating a diverse range of mental health issues affecting children and adolescents, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, behavioral problems, and ADHD. Our patient demographic reflects a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and we strive to provide culturally sensitive care that acknowledges and respects differences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that meets licensure requirements.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent in California; candidates with associate licenses cannot be considered due to billing regulations.

• In-depth understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and corresponding evidence-based treatments.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, child-centered approach that fosters trust with young patients and their families.

• Experience in delivering both individual and family-based therapy, with a focus on engaging various family members in the therapeutic process.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools for documentation and patient management.

• A willingness to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in telehealth settings or delivering virtual therapy.

• Exposure to and training in various therapeutic modalities suited for children and adolescents, such as play therapy or art therapy.

• Current knowledge of community resources available for mental health support and advocacy for children and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $122,000 annually, reflecting experience and qualifications.
