Our team values practical innovation, collaboration, accountability, and exceptional customer service. Role Description Bradford Systems is seeking a full-time Accountant to join our team. This hybrid position supports the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations. Key responsibilities include: Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and expense tracking. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports. Reconciling bank, balance sheet, and general ledger accounts. Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulations. Collaborating with internal departments and responding to accounting and financial inquiries. Supporting external auditors and tax professionals as needed. Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and efficiency. Using AI and automation tools responsibly to streamline routine tasks, analyze financial information, and improve reporting while protecting confidential company data. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Prior experience in corporate or small-to-medium-sized business accounting. Strong knowledge of general accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Working knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with tax and compliance requirements. Proficiency with accounting software and enterprise resource planning systems. Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools and technologies, with the ability to identify practical applications, improve workflows, and train others on effective use. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong knowledge of AI tools and an understanding of how they can be applied to accounting, reporting, data analysis, process improvement, and workflow automation. Ability to evaluate AI-generated information for accuracy and use these tools responsibly while maintaining data security and confidentiality. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Experience in the equipment, material-handling, storage-solutions, construction, or related industries is beneficial.
