Quality InspectorManufacturing Facility - Moore, SC 29369OverviewPosition Type Full TimeDescriptionShift hours: Monday – Thursday 6am- 4:30pm Starting wage: $20.00 per hourTakeuchi Mfg (US) Ltd offers a competitive benefits package including affordable medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) – 100% match on 1st 4%, PTO, paid holidays, and wellness benefits!Job DutiesInspects output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionalityChecks that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complies with legal requirementsEvaluates produced goods against established standards and specificationsRecords inspection findings, tracks rework and waste, and updates the quality databaseCommunicated with the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellenceWorks with Subject Matter Experts to implement improvements to the production processKeeps measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairsReads and interpreting drawings/work instructionsUsing gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure productsCollects and compiles statistical quality dataAssist in the development of test methods and inspection plansDetermines the causes of product defects and provides minor reworkVerifies all equipment is calibrated correctly and safelyQualificationsEducation and Experience Required:High School Degree or GEDProven experience in Quality (Minimum 2 years)Further qualifications will be a plus (Testing, auditing, troubleshooting, assembly, painting, welding)A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approachResponsible and trustworthyFamiliar with quality testing machines and systemsAbility to learn and perform required torque procedures and accurately read measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipmentAbility to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirementsWork is performed primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to fluctuating temperatures in areas near open cab docksPhysical DemandsMust be able to lift 25lbs at a timePhysically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
