Application Developer Analyst (Hybrid Schedule)

What We Are Looking ForKinder Morgan, one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, is looking for IT Application Developer Analysts.This application development position resides within the Business Systems application team. The successful candidate will be working for one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. The Business Systems application team develops and supports many custom solutions for approximately 79,000 miles of natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, and carbon dioxide (CO2) pipelines and over 139 terminals for storing and handling various chemicals and other products. In the Enterprise Systems group, the candidate will support various applications for Shared Services business functions (e.g. Finance, Legal, Procurement, etc.). The candidate will participate in project meetings, provide input to project plans, and provide status updates. Day-to-day tasks include working with internal teams as well as vendors, maintaining documentation, troubleshooting issues, coding, testing, and providing on-call support. The position also includes the development of .net, C#. Development responsibilities include the analysis, design, coding, documentation, deployment, and support of custom applications. Miscellaneous duties include report writing, SQL, software upgrades, data manipulation, extraction, and performance tuning.What You Will DoEducational Requirements:Bachelor's degree required- IT Related experience preferredExperience:Minimum 5 years experience preferredPosition Requirements:Excellent customer service skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work closely in a team environment.Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines.Ability to deliver high-quality results using best-practice methods.Experience with SQL Server Databases.Experience with Azure Cloud TechnologiesExperience using Git-based source control and branching strategies for application development and deploymentStrong database design, management, and data import/export skills in SQL Server environments.5+ years of experience supporting and developing applications and related systems in the oil and gas industry is a plus.Business reporting: Design and implement new or enhancements to existing budget, forecast, variance, and risk reports as well as others.Identify opportunities and develop automated solutions to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the financial reporting / forecasting processes, as well as other Operational needsSQL Development (Oracle and MSSQL preferred)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.Experience in Data Visualization/Reporting (SSRS, PowerBI)Preferred experience in .NET programming languages (VB.NET, C#, VBA)Business management experience: Accumulate, review and communicate financial information provided by multiple data sources and individuals.Ability to provide routine on-call supportPreferred Skills:Experience with supporting third party applications.Experience developing Win and Web Applications in .NetExperience in Oil and Gas industry.Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, and Git source control for application development, deployment and support*Position may be filled at various levels depending on the job skills and experience of the successful candidate.This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan.
