HR Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. This role works with all members of HR to assist and support HR processes, ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The position includes both administrative and strategic responsibilities. Responsibilities Serve as a sincere and positive source of support to employees and the first point of contact for Human Resources related items throughout the employee’s employment, fostering a strong talent, positive culture and HR partnership at Terros. Partner with HR Business Partners and HR leadership to develop and/or deliver HR processes. Serve as the main point of contact for employees seeking FMLA/ADA, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Serve as the main point of contact for workers’ compensation administration. Administer leaves of absence and workers’ compensation, including claims management, reporting, premium invoicing, and follow‑up communication with team members, insurance carriers and medical providers when necessary. Administer benefits and annual open enrollment, including communicating benefit information, providing enrollment assistance, change reporting, claims resolution and invoice reconciliation. Contribute to policy development and assist in communication and upkeep; communicate and educate about changes in Human Resources policies and procedures to department supervisors and managers and ensure compliance. Assist the HR department with new employee orientation activities to deliver an exceptional first‑day experience. Ensure compliance with all new and existing employee files and perform routine compliance audits, processing license renewals, reimbursement requests, education verifications, credentialing requests and subpoena requests for assigned employees. Assist with HRIS changes and considerations for special pay, including shift differentials, language differentials and coach differentials. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation related to day‑to‑day management of employees and ensure the organization’s compliance with relevant federal and state laws, regulations and best practices pertaining to all personnel matters.
