We're looking for a Staff Accountant who takes ownership, shows initiative, and is quick to lend a hand around the office - someone ready to build a long-term career in a firm that invests in its people.

We handle tax and accounting for a diverse client base - from small businesses to individuals - with a level of care and personalization the big firms simply can't match. This role will focus on our accounting services for our clients. Much of our work is cloud- and web-based, so we're looking for someone who's genuinely tech-savvy and comfortable living in online accounting platforms day to day.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Full-cycle accounts payable and receivable for a portfolio of clients.
• Month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Accrual accounting and general ledger maintenance.
• Cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Day-to-day work in cloud-based accounting and web applications across multiple client systems.
• Collaboration with the broader team on tax-related work during busy season.

Requirements:
WHAT YOU BRING

• Public accounting / CPA firm experience - strongly preferred. 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience overall, ideally in a client-facing, multi-client setting.
• Strong tech and computer skills. A lot of our work is web- and internet-based, so you're comfortable in cloud platforms, pick up new software quickly, and can troubleshoot on your own without missing a beat.
• Initiative and ownership. You're a self-starter who spots what needs doing and takes it on without waiting to be asked.
• A team-first attitude. You genuinely enjoy helping the people around you and pitching in wherever the office needs a hand.
• Strong command of QuickBooks Online - you're the person others come to for help.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Solid understanding of AP/AR, general ledger, and closing processes.
• A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, but proven experience speaks for itself.
• Organized, communicative, and dependable.
