Staff Accountant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities General Accounting Duties Performs monthly bank reconciliations for Church, School, and related entities and submits to the CFO for review. Performs monthly recurring journal entries as assigned by the CFO. Performs monthly reconciliation of internal due to/for accounts. Performs monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts to sub ledger account. Performs pre‑paid account reconciliation and credit card receivable (monthly). Assists in audit as needed. Prepares miscellaneous spreadsheets & reports as requested. General Business Office and Other Duties Attends monthly church and school finance committee meetings to keep minutes. Serves as back‑up to Business Office roles as needed. Serves as back‑up to lunch count system. Performs other duties as assigned by the CFO. In addition to the primary responsibilities listed above, all tasks involved with these responsibilities are not itemized. The staff accountant is required to perform any task assigned by the Chief Financial Officer on an “as needed” basis. The staff accountant may be asked to assist with other personnel in the Business Office. This role takes initiative in problem solving, is of assistance to visitors to the Business Office, and contributes to the Business Office team in a positive and proactive manner. #J-18808-Ljbffr
