Learning and Development Manager

Capital One's Enterprise Learning & Development team is looking for a Strategic Business Consultant to shape and deliver the learning and development strategy for Enterprise Services, Software, Business Cards & Payments, and Enterprise Tech teams. You will partner with key business and Human Resources leaders to design and implement learning initiatives for hundreds of associates across multiple job families. Ideal Candidate Strategic Learning Partner : Anticipates future learning needs, stays current on talent development and technology trends, and balances long‑term vision with execution rigor. Bilingual in Learning & Human‑Centered Design : Skilled at translating design methodologies into effective learning strategies. AI Readiness : Knowledgeable about how AI impacts workforce readiness and talent development. Product‑Minded : Applies iteration, experimentation, and feedback to improve solutions. Collaborative : Thrives in matrixed environments and values co‑creation across business, HR, and L&D. Relationship Manager : Cultivates strong stakeholder relationships and acts as a trusted advisor. Insight‑Driven : Uses data and insights to drive decisions and continuous improvement. Storyteller : Communicates with clarity and influence to senior and technical audiences. Key Responsibilities Partner with accountable executives, HR leaders, and key stakeholders to co‑create the annual strategic learning agenda, defining vision, OKRs, operating and governance models. Collaborate with business partners to maximize knowledge sharing, peer learning, and optimize resource allocation. Lead design and delivery of learning programs and iterate based on feedback and data. Project‑manage multiple initiatives, leading program teams and providing strategic support. Manage scope, timelines, budgets, and mitigate risks. Own measurement and evaluation strategy to ensure learning solutions deliver desired outcomes. Collaborate on learner communications and external storytelling, sharing insights and outcomes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. At least 3 years of client‑facing consulting experience. At least 2 years of learning and development experience. At least 1 year of project management experience. At least 1 year of learning strategy creation experience. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience advising and influencing leadership. 5+ years of management consulting experience. 3+ years of strategy creation experience. Familiarity with change management. Experience facilitating across in‑person and virtual programs.
