Director, Global Enterprise HR Risk Advisor As a Director in Capital One’s Human Resource Risk Office, you will apply leadership and analytical skills to high‑profile Risk Management projects. You will lead teams of Risk Advisors, partner with executives and lines of business, and provide thought leadership across the enterprise to develop and implement cutting‑edge Risk solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead HR Risk Assessment of new or changing initiatives through appropriate forums and support Enterprise Assessments such as Process Criticality, Process Level Assessments, and Risk & Control Self‑Assessment. Coordinate HR Regulatory applicability with Legal and Compliance, reviewing and updating regulatory requirements. Accountable for the Uncovered RMAP process, identify and document appropriate controls in the Risk Management system of record, FUSE. Provide support for HR Issues & Events, ensuring adherence to Enterprise Risk Management standards. Support HR Policies, Standards & Procedures through documentation aligned with Corporate Policy Office expectations and maintained in Wdesk. Assist with audits and exams related to HR Risk. Assess and document the impact of regulatory changes to employment and privacy laws, developing implementation plans. Advise on HR Functional Area documentation to ensure enterprise‑level process documentation. Perform critical risk category assessments and develop recommendations to mitigate risk. Conduct risk process improvement, process design, and process excellence initiatives. Support HR Risk Management and Reporting to drive accountability and awareness. Leadership & Vision Inspire, motivate, and provide clear direction to the team to execute strategic priorities. Lead teams effectively through change and champion innovation within the HR Risk Office. Build a high performing team grounded in Capital One Competencies with demonstrable results. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience. At least 8 years of experience in Risk Management, Audit, or Compliance. Minimum of 4 years managing teams, including direct and indirect reports. Minimum of 5 years in Project or Process Management. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Project Management. 10+ years of experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Project, and/or Process Management. 6+ years of people management experience with direct and indirect reports. Business Process Management certification (Six Sigma Lean, Green Belt or Black Belt), Agile Coach certification, certification in Risk Management (CRISC, PRMIA, FRM) or Audit (CIA, CISA), or Compliance Certification (CRCM). Compensation and Benefits Compensation ranges are provided by location. Additional performance‑based incentive compensation may be available.
